Equinox Hotel New York

The decor, ambiance, bedding, gym, location, Starbucks below…. Just everything was lovely!

Super friendly staff, very clean room and facilities, definitely a luxury stay!

The energy in the hotel and neighborhood. Great room and view... the hotel starts on the 25th floor! They still had covid restrictions and you have to show your proof of vaccinations. But even so, it was comforting to know that everyone in the hotel was vaccinated.

I love the concept of this hotel. From my arrival to my departure, all the staff I interacted with were very professional and hospitable. All my requests were catered to except for one missed request when I had asked for the room to be made up. They were very responsive in providing a prompt turndown service to make up for it. The property and the amenities were of the highest quality and standard. I very much enjoyed the spa and the food was ok for the price. My room was exceptional! Great design and overall ambiance. I can say that this was probably one of the best sleeps I’ve had compared to other hotels I’ve traveled to worldwide. They were able to provide me with the weighted blanket I am accustomed to sleeping with... Very impressive considering not many hotels can offer this. Mattress and sheets were just right and comfortable. The pillows were delightful too! I love that the concept of quality sleep is important in the guest’s experience. The room was very clean with a nice seating area for relaxing or working. The bathroom had great smelling Equinox bath amenities, the mini bar was well stocked although you can tell some of the items were worn out already so I wasn’t very enticed to try them as they looked old. There were some basic yoga equipment and foam rollers in the room that I used in the morning. TV was great and I could link my phone to it too. The safe was secure and well-hidden. I very much liked my room which was on the corner of the 32nd floor because it was quiet. It offered great views and when I was ready to sleep, the automatic shades were a nice touch. I also liked the in-room iPad which was also a great way to order food, make requests, and communicate with the front desk and spa. I highly recommend using the spa and gym! Location was great and not stuffy compared to staying in Midtown or other areas. There was everything nearby like Whole Foods, shopping mall, pharmacy, and easy access to get picked up by my car service.

Pros: INCREDIBLE SERVICE-WOW the hospitality was off the charts Great location Safe neighborhood Easy access to Uber Beautiful hotel and rooms Black out shades were a GAME CHANGER for sleep! Gym access was great, but it was filled with "influencer" gym goers-if you hate influencers, don't go to the gym. INCREDIBLE ROOM SERVICE Impeccable housekeeping The hotel is located in West Midtown, and we felt it was a good base location for sight seeing all over Manhattan. The Vessel is on the same property, which was cool! My husband took Blade helicopter from JFK to the West Manhattan helipad, which was only a couple blocks from the hotel, and he got $50 off using the Equinox discount code. Tip: We didn't realize JFK is the furthest airport from the hotel, and I would recommend flying into Newark airport to stay here.
